Andrea to lead European Investment Management as part of Global Primaries Strategy
Zug, Switzerland – December 1, 2022 – Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, announced today that it has appointed Andrea Mazzaferro as Head of Primaries, Europe. Andrea is taking over the position from Mark Drugan, who is retiring from the firm after 34 years of service at Capital Dynamics.
As Head of Primaries, Europe, Andrea will lead European investments in mid-market funds within the buyout, specialist, turnaround and growth sectors. He will work alongside fellow regional heads of the firm’s primaries strategy, Helen Lais (United States) and Manjia Guan (Asia).
Andrea is a Managing Director based in Milan, Italy and has worked at Capital Dynamics since 2018. He has extensive experience in evaluating, selecting and monitoring investments across private equity and debt strategies globally. Andrea previously served as Chief Investment Officer at Advanced Capital SGR, Capital Dynamics’ predecessor in Italy, and, earlier in his career, worked in the Investment Banking division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch focusing on private equity transactions.
