LONDON - October 29, 2024 – Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, is proud to announce that its Clean Energy and Infrastructure VIII SCSp (“CEI VIII”) Fund has been awarded Infrastructure Fund Sector Leader status in the 2024 Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) Assessment, a significant recognition of the fund’s excellence in environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.
The GRESB Sector Leader designation is awarded to the top performers across different regions and sectors in the GRESB Assessments. In 2024, CEI VIII, which invested in renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe, received 5-Star GRESB Ratings and a score of 99 out of 100 both at Fund and Asset Level and secured multiple #1 rankings across key performance benchmarks.
“We are thrilled to be recognized as a Sector Leader in the 2024 GRESB Assessment” said Martin Hahn, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Dynamics. “This achievement is a testament to our deep commitment to Responsible Investment and our leadership in driving sustainable investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.”
Barney Coles and Dario Bertagna, Co-Heads of Clean Energy at Capital Dynamics, added: “We are proud of this recognition, as it underscores the impact of our Clean Energy investments. Our assets play a critical role in the European energy transition and achieving Sector Leader status highlights both our strong governance and our ability to create long-term sustainable value for our investors.”
The GRESB Assessment is a globally recognized evaluation of ESG performance for real estate and infrastructure. In 2024, the assessment covered 167 participating funds and 720 assets, across 81 countries. Achieving Sector Leader status signifies the funds’ top performing rank in its sector and region, demonstrating Capital Dynamics’ leadership in Responsible Investment.
Sebastien Roussotte, Chief Executive Officer of GRESB, shared: “Our Sector Leaders this year have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to sustainability, leading by example and driving the industry forward. Their dedication to ESG excellence is truly commendable.”
